About the Artist

Katie H. Ritchie is a teaching artist living in Commerce, TX. Her work explores corn and its reach into our lives beyond the supermarket while questioning the demographics directly marketed by the political plant.  Ritchie's current series employs 3D printed objects, photography, projections, digital drawings, and sculptural elements. Her most recent exhibitions were: Modern Billings, Modern Art Museum of Fort Worth, Fort Worth, TX; Corny, Texas A&M Commerce Gallery, Commerce TX; OSO Bay Biennial XXI: Tapped, TAMUCC Art and Design, Corpus Christi, TX; Lines of Thought, CICA Museum, Gimpo, South Korea, and Higher Learning Fort Worth Community Art Center. She is currently teaching at Commerce High School and an Adjunct Professor at Texas A&M Commerce.
